Your year at a glance! Snapchat follows trend and launches 2019 retrospective for users

Year-end retrospectives are common everywhere, including in technology. Many apps, such as Spotify, Google, and YouTube, take advantage of the era to remind users of the salient facts, and Snapchat is no different.

The app announced that it has released to its users the 2019 retrospective, called “Years End Stories”. The feature compiles saved snaps and creates a unique story for each user.

That way, those using the app can review and celebrate the shared moments of the year captured with the augmented reality filters that have been so successful.

To access Snapchat’s story, simply open the app and tap the Memories icon. The holiday story will appear on the Snaps tab at the top of the screen. Then just click on the story that will appear on top of your saved Snaps. You can also save the created story, send it to friends, or post it.

The feature is available to everyone who uses Snapchat, however, the user must have saved enough content in the Memories file throughout 2019 for their holiday story to be generated in the app.

The year-end retrospective is yet another of Snapchat’s attempts to regain its relevance in the past, before the controversial attempt to buy Facebook and the invasion of stories in all apps controlled by Mark Zuckerberg. New features include the ability to play with friends offline, the Mix and Match feature, the inclusion of user’s faces in videos and the famous age filter.
