Xiaomi starts releasing stable test version of Android 11 for its phones

Earlier this week, Google officially announced the launch of the new stable version of its operating system for mobile phones, Android 11. First released for Pixel line devices, more manufacturers have subsequently announced plans to update their respective devices.

This is the case of Xiaomi, which, the following day, has already announced the inclusion of the Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, and POCO F2 Pro in the testing program of the new edition of the software. Now, without delay, the Chinese giant has already started releasing the stable beta version of Android 11 for three models in its home country: the Mi 10, the Mi 10 Pro, and the Redmi K30 Pro.

This version is initially released to a limited number of users. After a few weeks with it in use, if the devices do not fail with the new operating system, it starts to be released in large batches and for more devices.

MIUI 12 based on Android 11

It is important to remember that, even before the official launch of the new version of Android, Xiaomi has started to release an upgrade of its personalized interface, MIUI 12, with the system based on Android 11.

The update, which also arrived in beta testing format, has been released for both the Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro and Redmi K30 Pro, and for the Mi CC9 Pro.

So far there is no information from other Chinese devices to receive the update or even when it will reach other markets. However, as the system’s source code is already released, soon we will be able to see more news.
