Google Maps will inform you if you are going to take a bus or a crowded train

Google MapsGoogle has started to inform its user if the bus or train is full or empty. Available for restaurants some time ago, the Mountain View giant started deploying the resort on the route by public transportation.

The functionality says – in certain cities – how crowded the transport is that you should pick up to get to the destination you want. In this way, it is possible to program if you prefer to be squeezed or choose to wait for the next vehicle.

Another feature is to display delays in traffic to the buses in real time. With the tool, it is possible to know the original time for that car to arrive at the place and what time it will actually stop for boarding or disembarkation.

The intention of Google is to maintain its leadership in navigation applications and not open the possibility of a rise of other competitors within the segment, such as Uber and Lyft.

It is worth remembering that a few weeks ago, Maps started to test feature that alerts when the taxi leaves the route.

The regions for which Google intends to release the function have not yet been released. In a test carried out by this writer in the beta version 10.19.1 (# 1019101244), it was not possible to obtain access to the stocking resource in the city of São Paulo. However, the app already informs the delays of the bus to get to the point.
