Despite the low availability of 5G in the United States, research by TechRepublic indicates that the Galaxy Note 10 Plus with the new connection is already a “hit” in the country. That’s because operator Verizon reported that more than 40,000 units were sold during the month of August.
The data also reveals that the $ 1,300 price tag did not scare American consumers. Therefore, sales of the Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G practically “follow” the numbers registered by models that only support 4G.
Another point we can make is that the variants with 5G of the Galaxy Note 10 are being made available only through Verizon. This is because the operator has an exclusive contract with Samsung.
Commenting on the numbers, Verizon confirms that the 40,000 units were ordered in just “9 days pre-order”. In addition, past this promotional period, the company still expects to sell around 30,000 5G units per month. One representative even explained:
Despite the higher values, the consumer who buys Galaxy Note handsets is price-insensitive and wants the latest and greatest technology.
This means that the Galaxy Note 10 Plus model without 5G has also been able to sell a significant amount of units. However, Verizon declined to comment on the performance of this model.
Delay of compet>Delay of competition?
">With the sales success of the Galaxy Note 10 line with 5G in the United States and South Korea, many people comment that Apple missed the opportunity to deliver its first 5G iPhone.
However, despite not having support for the new connection, iPhone 11 family sales are still up in the US. In addition, analysts believe the launch of the iPhone 5G with 5G should be responsible for getting older handset owners to switch to a new unit.
