After introducing new smartwatches to the Chinese market earlier this month, Amazfit – Xiaomi’s subsidiary for connected accessories – may now be planning the international launch of the excellent Verge 2. At least that is what registration on the Bluetooth SIG body suggests.
The sale in China, the Verge 2 was announced a few weeks ago and offers a major improvement in design and finishing than the previous generation, and aiming to take a larger share of the market of smartwatches, Xiaomi / so for more regions it is accurate.
In the registry requested by Huami (an arm of Xiaomi that controls Amazfit) to the international body, the use of Bluetooth 4.2 was certified for the model AC2807 with the mysterious name of an Amazfit smartwatch 2, which can suggest Verge 2 in international soil.
The Amazfit Verge 2 stands out for offering ECG monitoring capability as well as its main competitor, the Apple Watch series 4. With a 1.39-inch AMOLED screen, the accessory has a 2.5D curved screen, Snapdragon Wear 2500 chipset facing smart accessories with speed processor up to 1.1 GHz.
It even offers support for voice control with a personal assistant, 4G VoLTE connection thanks to e-SIM, NFC, wireless payments, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2 and BLE plus IP68 certification against water and dust.
