For now, Twitter still has no deadline to confirm its adhesion to Bitcoin. Even so, there is still a fear in the technology market about a possible government intervention when it comes to cryptocurrencies.
That’s because US Treasury Secretary Janet Yallen warned that the government has noticed “misuse of cryptocurrencies”. On the other hand, this increased adherence from technology companies should further leverage Bitcoin, which has already seen record appreciation this week.
In addition to Tesla and Twitter, Mastercard is eyeing this growing market. Therefore, the company is preparing to announce support for Bitcoin soon. The idea is to allow users of their cards to make purchases using a selected list of cryptocurrencies.
