The manufacturers are not happy with Intel’s shortage.
We’ve known it for almost a month: Intel is having trouble making its 14-nm processors. There are several factors that cause it, but what concerns us today are the consequences. One is that new buyers start to prefer AMD now that it has reached a good level of competitiveness with respect to Intel after a decade. The financial services firm Jefferies has improved AMD’s forecasts for the last quarter of the year and predicts an increase in the company’s shares to $ 36.
Computer makers do not seem happy with Intel. The irregular planning and platform changes have forced them to revise the designs of their products more than they would like and now are faced with the danger of shortages. A report by the firm Fubon has predicted that by next year one in three computers sold by HP will carry AMD processors. There is talk that AMD will occupy a market share of 30% over the next year, and that is very big for the red one.
