According to the source, during the second half of this year, at least 60% of the devices released by the Chinese manufacturer will bring Kirin CPUs – an increase of 20% compared to the same period last year.
During the first half, 45% of the models already had Huawei’s own solutions – just over 40% in the second half of 2018.
By the second half of 2019, the brand would be planning to include more than 150 million Kirin chipsets, with at least an estimated 270 million last year.
Of course, this change will not have much impact on the brand’s premium segment, seeing that all high-end models already adopt manufacturer solutions; some middlemen and input devices are still relying on Qualcomm and MediaTek processors.
It is worth remembering that one of the last processors officialized by Honor’s owner, Kirin 810, which equips the newly released Honor 9X and 9X Pro.
