Nintendo and Game Freak Register Monpoké in Japan

It is unknown if the new Pokémon will be a game or perhaps collectible items.

Some clever fans have recently discovered a new and suspicious record of Nintendo, Creatures Inc and Game Freak – the owners of the Pokémon saga – in the trademark office in Japan: this is Monpoké, and you do not need to give it many laps to realize how the name was formed, For now, the only thing known about it is the name and logo, collected by Serebii.

The application of Monpoké is, for now, a mystery. It could be related to a video game (the Pokémon of 2019 or a totally different one), but also with articles of merchandising, movies and a long etcetera. That is why it is so striking among the followers of the series: it does not seem to be related to the anime, or the JCC, or anything like it. The typography is not revealing, and the four Poké Balls that appear in the logo, either.

For now, we can only wait and see how the matter develops. It would not be the first time that a record of this type ends up advancing a new video game, as it also happened with the Pokémon Let’s Go record, Pikachu!/Eevee! a few months ago.
