Microsoft officially made available to users registered in the Windows Insider program today the clean installation (ISO) image of Windows 10 2004 Preview Build 19041, known as April Update or 20H1 in motion that anticipates the arrival of the version to the consumer market.
Available shortly after having delivered the RTM version (which is focused on partner manufacturers to embark on their equipment), the ‘April Update’ should still be released as the name says in the middle of April or May for those who have the system installed on the PC through Windows Update.
A point worth noting is that some PCs may not understand each other well with the operating system in question, and it is recommended to at least check if your device is compatible with Windows 10 1909, which requires the following minimum settings:
- X86 or x64 processor with at least 1GHz
- 1GB RAM for 32bit version or 2GB for 64bit version
- Screen with a minimum resolution of 800×600
- GPU with support for DirectX9 or higher with WDDM 1.0
As stated, initially this availability is offered to users who are registered in the Windows Insider test program, and it is possible to register directly on the official website by clicking on the “Become An Insider” button.
If you are already enrolled in the Insider program and your PC effectively meets the above-mentioned settings, just access the link below, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select the desired version from the drop-down menu, while both Quick Cycle and Slow of the traditional, Enterprise and Home Chinese versions.
In time: as stated above, distributions are still classified as test versions and therefore, it is convenient to note that bugs and errors can be identified, therefore it is not recommended to use them on PCs that depend on good stability.
