With Travis Kalanick’s departure from Uber’s CEO position in June after a series of controversies that still continue to negatively impact the company’s image, the highest position remains vague. In an effort to solve this problem as fast as possible, the Washington Post reports the company would have tried to hire top executives for general command, but without success.
Among the names mentioned are Sheryl Sandberg (Facebook), Susan Wojcicki (YouTube), Mary Barra (General Motors), Carolyn McCall (EasyJet) and Meg Whitman (Hewlett Packard), all of whom prefer not to take on the problem, For a moment of crisis and restructuring, continuing in their respective jobs.

With that, the main name appointed as new leader of the company is a man, Jeffrey R. Immelt, of General Motors. Kalanick is still part of the staff, even with voting power, since he owns shares of the transport company.
