Due to the serious display and construction issues of the Galaxy Fold, the Mate X – Huawei’s first folding smartphone – had to be postponed officially so that the manufacturer could work further on its design to prevent its consumers from being able to have any problems with its construction.
In the article written on Thursday (25) the images did not reveal major changes in relation to the body of the device, but looking more closely at the source of the content, the photos showed more revealing details.
Below you can see two photos: the one on the left shows the new product with the likely final design that will reach users, while the one on the right shows the prototype that was displayed at Huawei events around the world.
While the Mate X still has the same folded-out screen format, the same dimensions, and specifications, it is clearly noticeable some minor changes to the device such as the presence of one more main camera – now four sensors in all – as well as a simple button switch. which allows the user to unlock the screen to open it in tablet format.
While the model on the right displayed stickers on its body that read that the device cannot be sold and is a prototype, the new model on the left has these same warnings, but now in the black part of the device’s internal fold.
Apart from the new lock / unlock button and the addition of another main camera, it seems that there are no other major changes to the Mate X, which has not yet been confirmed for the world and/or Chinese market, but rumors point to mid. from September to October.
Mate X is caught in the hands of Huawei CEO and sales may start soon
Following Samsung, Huawei may also launch the folding Mate X in September. This is because the company has already obtained certification for the device at TENAA and has started promoting the device in some Chinese malls.

It’s in September – at the latest. It will probably be a little early, but I don’t have a date yet. Therefore, September is definitely guaranteed.
For now, despite all the statements and moves by its executives, Huawei has not yet revealed an exact date for the start of sales of Mate X. Still, sources point out that the Chinese are willing to “stick” to Samsung, which announced This Thursday (25) the relaunch of Galaxy Fold in September.
