Mediatek scheduled a conference for the end of the month, specifically July 30th.
At the event, through promotional images, we will meet the Helio G90, rumored to be the first gamer chipset not only of the company but of the world,
Although there are many smartphone gamers on the market, none have so far actually used a chip designed specifically for gaming. They all use solutions from Qualcomm or other companies for the general market, adapting clocks and other features to their needs.
With the news, Mediatek could catch the eye of manufacturers like Xiaomi, Asus, Razer and Nubia, which could lead it to close good chip supply deals.
What we can expect from the Helio G90 is excellent graphics performance through an advanced GPU. Of course, for games to work well you will still need a good CPU to avoid bottlenecks.
As a high clock is also expected to be very fluid, smartphones using its solution will need to have good batteries.
Mediatek is also already working on its first 5G chipset, which should be shipped to partner manufacturers later this semester. The first handsets with the novelty should arrive from January next year.
And you, what do you think we’ll have again with the Helio G90? Tell us in the comments!
