HongMeng OS: Huawei tests its alternative for Android in Mate 30

Despite leaving the US blacklist, Huawei has not abandoned its plans to create an alternative operating system for Android. The company would be testing the HongMeng OS in the future Mate 30 flagship, with the possibility of the platform already being presented on the same day as the announcement of the next top of the line.

The trend is that the manufacturer’s own OS will replace Android in the Chinese versions of its smartphones. On the other hand, it is a form of caution due to the uncertain future between the US negotiations with China.

According to the Huawei Central website, there is a possibility that the Mate 30 will be the first smartphone of the brand to run out of Android. However, the company should not choose to leave the Google platform aside in the international market, at least at first.

On the other hand, the Chinese would already be ready for a change and have no resistance to Huawei’s own operating system. This would make it easier for the country to be the first to receive HongMeng OS.

The Mate 30 is expected to be made official in the month of October this year. So far, there is no exact date of submission. It is worth remembering that on August 9, Huawei will hold a conference for developers in China, and its new platform may appear at the time.
