The Mountain View company is now releasing several other improvements – albeit subtle – for its popular browser. These new features arrive in version 84 of Chrome, which has already started to be released to users.
The first, and perhaps main modification of the new version, concerns the use of cookies by the websites. With a significant change in the way they work, pages can be loaded more quickly. To this end, the search giant introduces the new SameSite Cookies policy, which should speed up the loading of pages, in addition to increasing user security.
This feature was supposed to have been released some time ago by the developers of each site, with Google requesting the change by them, but without hurrying them. However, with their inertia, the company decided to act on their own and implement the feature once in general, giving the option for each site to adapt to the new Cookies policy.
With that, it is important to highlight, some sites may not work properly and present some type of error in loading. So there is already a warning for those who update the browser to version 84. However, these errors may be corrected soon, with the release of new updates.
Another modification in the new version will remove those constant – and annoying – reminders to activate notifications for each page on the web. Now, the user will have full control to change the notification permissions at any time and, especially, whenever he wants. All notifications are already deactivated by default, giving the user the possibility to activate them for each address, if he wants.
Finally, a major change will allow the user to keep the device’s screen on while browsing a specific website that does not require constant mouse movement or the use of keys. This function will be useful for reading large articles or e-books, without the need to keep rolling the mouse pointer all the time to avoid blocking the screen.
We also remember that Google has announced that it will no longer use a tool created by Microsoft to relieve RAM consumption by the browser and improve its performance due to errors presented after implementation.

Chrome version 84 is now available for Android, Linux, Mac, and Windows and brings, among these, some other subtle changes to improve your navigation.
