Facebook tests integration between WhatsApp and Messenger conversations

We announced that the integration between Facebook Messenger and Instagram direct messages is finally available and users of the two messengers can now chat with each other from one place, without having to open or create an account on both services.

Now, some rumors suggest that Mark Zuckerberg’s group is already testing a way to integrate, also, the chats made on WhatsApp – which also belongs to the company of the American billionaire – and on Facebook Messenger.

Information that the conversations between Messenger, WhatsApp, and Instagram direct messages would be joined has already begun to circulate a while ago, and now the WABetaInfo team found that some information is hidden in the Facebook chat already suggests that integration with WhatsApp It’s on the way.

The portal revealed that leaker Alessandro Paluzzi discovered a dedicated WhatsApp chat within Messenger. For now, it is not yet possible to integrate the two platforms, so users of the two platforms cannot yet chat with each other in just one place as is possible with Instagram and Messenger.

However, Paluzzi managed to “force” a thread in Messenger to show how the design of Messenger will look after integration with WhatsApp.

In addition to the integration between all messengers in the group, another update under test is to redesign the mentioned icon. However, this change is only tested for iOS and there is no forecast for the debut on Android. It is worth remembering that the messenger also tests an option to improve the visualization of images in the chat, without the need to click on an image to expand it.
