A day earlier than normal, Google has released the new version of its beta application, at 10.20, with minimal improvements, which can be ranked more accurately as refinements than exact improvements. Whoever reviewed the new version of the Google app was the APK Insight team. The latest version brought a dark mode to the entire interface.
The Mountain View Giant continues to work in Ambiente Mode, as well as the “Brief your Assistant” feature. In the first feature, the version suggests that the shortcuts – probably in the form of a chip carousel – for “Playing Night Sounds” and “What’s the weather” are coming to the “Updates” feed of the Assistant in ODA.
While the name Environment Mode seems to be increasingly consolidated as definitive for the feature, Voice Match will also be present, with a new string specifying the voice recognition of the Environment Mode.
In the case of Brief Your Assistant, the company seems to be working on a Customization feature for the Wizard, where the end user can drill down to get help throughout the day. You can select predefined “areas” as part of this process.
The APK Insight team also found in the code references to “Shortcuts” and a related store. The closest equivalent of “Shortcuts” today is Routines. However, it is still unfinished and should appear in more detail in future updates.
