The screen-making market has always had two great leaders: LG and Samsung. This assertion is based on the fact that both manufacturers are able to deliver attractive results for their users on their devices, so much so that other companies have started using the displays manufactured by them.
However, the boom in the Chinese mobile market has caused several companies to begin delivering screens with qualities close to or even superior to South Korean, so much so that the BOE has become the favorite of those searching for OLED panels within the largest Asian country, conquering manufacturers such as Huawei.
The LG Display has always been highly respected in the Asian continent for achieving proportional to the big brand’s displays that gave the smartphone visual quality that attracted even more customers to them. However, in recent times has been surpassed by Samsung in the quantity of supply to the market, both LCD and OLED displays.
This situation caused the company to take the decision to reduce the manufacture of the OLED model to apply the panel developed by the BOE. This decision is a strategy developed by the head of the South Korean mobile department to launch LG devices within Vietnam, a market dominated by Samsung.

This decision does not end with the production of OLED from LG, but it will always keep the stock low because of the high costs, something that does not happen in the BOE, for example, that manages to maintain productivity on large scale with low price. In addition, the possibility of seeing South Korea’s flexible screens will be left out, even though it remains firm in the development of screens for its SmartTVs.
