ASUS ROG Phone 2 is updated with renewed Armory Crate and support for TwinView Dock 3

ASUS announced in July its newest smartphone aimed at the gamer audience, the ROG Phone 3. Debuting the Snapdragon 865 Plus, the device brought the best in performance and media consumption, with an incredible 144Hz OLED screen, a respectable 6,000mAh battery, and a very robust audio system, current runner-up in the DxOMark ranking.

Despite this, the company has not forgotten its older users and made available this month an update with a series of very welcome news for the ROG Phone 2. In addition to the September security patch, the update brings a renewed interface to Armory Crate, the game’s management hub, and device performance settings.

The first notable change is the speed with which the app opens, now almost instantly. In addition, the new Armory Crate, basically similar to the one found on the ROG Phone 3, allows users to see games installed on a grid or on a card carousel. In each of them, information such as performance profile, screenshots, video recordings, and the website of the title in question can be easily accessed.

According to ASUS, the update is already being made available to users of the ROG Phone 2 model ZS660KL. It is worth remembering, however, that the distribution is done by waves, and it may take a while before your device receives the update.
