The possibility will reach Apple’s 2018 smartphones this weekend when phones are expected to receive the final update to iOS 13. According to 9to5Mac, the tool will be enabled in the new API introduced as part of the new operating system version.
The combination of hardware and processing allows various combinations of device cameras, both rear, and front – in this case for users to capture their own reactions with the video.
The feature will not be available in the standard iOS camera app, even in the iPhone 11 family. However, the feature will be available to developers for insertion into third-party applications such as Filmic Pro.
Apple also warned that depending on the app’s usage and processor usage, there will be a limitation on the quality of the footage. That is, the feature may not be available for videos in 4K resolution.
To top it off, the Cupertino giant also didn’t specify how many simultaneous streams could be captured. However, given the 2018 smartphone camera sets, they should be no more than three layers at a time in these cases.
