Success! Samsung Galaxy Fold passes one million units sold

The year 2019 was marked in history as the year when companies began to develop folding technology smartphones. Two giants opened the year with their models, which are Samsung and Huawei, with their Galaxy Fold and Mate X, respectively. In the second half, Motorola introduced Razr in a different format.

One of them, the Galaxy Fold, had problems precisely in its highlight, which is the folding display. Therefore, the brand decided to delay its launch for the second half of the year. As a result, many began to question whether their sales would be affected by the problem or not.

Now, new information from Techcrunch says the South Korean brand has been able to sell more than one million units of the folding device since its launch in September.

Samsung Electronics President Young Sohn says, “I think the point is that we are selling [one] million of these products. There are one million people who want to use this $ 2,000 product.”

This shows that there really are people in the world who are interested in folding device technology, even if they have to pay dearly to try it out. Unfortunately, the device didn’t land here, so let’s hope its successor, the so-called Galaxy Fold 2, shows up in our country.
