Redmi 9 is FCC certified and has new specifications confirmed

While the Redmi Note 9 family gains a number of variants, we all know that Xiaomi can launch the new Redmi 9 at any time. The device has already been listed in a series of certifications, and recently the manufacturer itself has leaked some information on its official website.

Now, while the company is trying to keep it a secret, Redmi 9 has been approved by the FCC – a body similar to our Anatel – in the United States. With the numbering M2004J19G, the device should come out of the box running Android 10 in conjunction with MIUI 11.

Another important detail is that the Redmi 9 has a 6.6 inch IPS LCD screen, supports dual-band WiFi, and is a device equipped only for the 4G network. See an illustration on the certification page:

As much as the FCC has not released the complete Redmi 9 plug, the agency confirms that this cheap one should have a 5,000 mAh battery, and its charger provides only 10W. As a comparison, the Redmi 8 brings fast charging of 18W.

Now, when it comes to processing, we’re talking about a device that has a MediaTek Helio G70 or G80 chipset, which should work together with 3 GB, 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM and storage options that start from 32 GB and go up to 128 GB.

Finally, sources say the Redmi 9 has four rear cameras with a 13 MP main sensor. However, Xiaomi has yet to comment on the matter. Anyway, everything indicates that the launch of the new cheap should happen later this month.
