Gear S3 and Sport receive update with Bixby and other features of Galaxy Watch Active 2

As we know, Samsung decided to end the S Voice service and is now replacing the functionality with the Bixby assistant. So, in search of delivering a unified experience, the South Korean giant released an update this week for the Gear S3 and Gear Sport.

According to the owners of smartwatches, the notification for the update came earlier this week, the biggest highlight being the presence of assistant Bixby. Thus, it will now be possible to use it normally in place of the late S Voice service.

In addition, the update also brought other features that were released in conjunction with the Galaxy Watch Active 2

Another improvement added to watches solves an old problem with Always On Display mode. This is because the feature should be more readable when the device is being charged or when saving power.

Finally, we also have new options for customizing the watches. For now, the update is only available in South Korea and the United States. Gear S3 receives firmware version R76 * XXU2FTD4, while Gear Sport gets R600XXU1DTD3.

So far, Samsung has not released the update for new markets. Therefore, we warn you that it may take a little longer for the update to arrive on your watch since it is distributed in phases.
