Drop the phone! OnePlus releases Zen Mode from OxygenOS 11 for more smartphones

More than a year ago, OnePlus made Zen Mode available on Google Play for some of its devices and now the manufacturer is adding support for more of the brand’s phones. With it, users can relax leaving their cell phones aside for defined periods, while the application prevents them from “falling into temptation” by silencing notifications and blocking the smartphone.

From 2019 to 2020 the app received many improvements as Zen challenges, where the user is invited to pay more attention to the day-to-day chores and the people around him leaving his cell phone aside for a few minutes or hours, in addition to the Zen Rooms, where friends can participate in group activities and check that none of them used their cell phone in the agreed period.

The new version also features themes to customize the app with relaxing images to encourage meditation and record the sessions held to see how much progress you have made by becoming less dependent on the phone.

The “digital detox” initiative does not just come from OnePlus, just remember that similar applications are present in other manufacturers such as Xiaomi and Google itself, which implemented Digital Wellness on its operating system.

To use the new version just download the app on Google Play or the APK Mirror website if it is not already available for you. The only requirement is to have an OnePlus device with OxygenOS 11 and Android 10. It is worth remembering that it is always recommended to use apps from the official Google store for security.
