WhatsApp explains what should happen to those who do not accept new privacy policy

In order to correct what it considers to be just a misunderstanding, WhatsApp confirmed last week that it should display a full-page banner to explain its new privacy policies. The intention is to reduce public rejection and even end the boycott campaign of some users.

However, the messenger did not explain what will happen to anyone who insists on not accepting their privacy policies, something that was finally clarified today (22). According to the WhatsApp page itself, users who do not agree with the change must have a “limited experience”.

They will still be able to receive calls and notifications, but this will happen in a “short period of time”. According to sources, the use of the messenger will remain normal for a few weeks until the limitation is implemented and the app becomes useless.

WhatsApp also makes it clear that those users who have not accepted the terms will be able to open the application after May 15 to normalize the use of the messenger – the only way is to accept the change.

In addition, the application must not delete any account before it completes 120 days of inactivity. Finally, the messenger claims that his new privacy policy does not affect ordinary users, but companies.

messages shared between individuals on WhatsApp are encrypted from end to end, so only your recipients can see your content. The new privacy policy concerns messages sent by companies, which can be stored on Facebook servers and whose data can be used for advertising.
