Vivo is one of the most innovative manufacturers in the smartphone market, insisting on adopting new visionary technologies before other competitors and presenting curious solutions to expand the possibilities of the category. But it seems that soon we can see a change in the company nomenclature.
According to records found by the Dutch website Letsgodigital, soon Vivo may begin to be called official me vivox. As with the current brand nomenclature, official writing will continue to be in all lowercase letters.
As you can see in the official documents below, you can see that the registration was made official on July 27 and classified on July 29 in Europe’s intellectual property body, EUIPO. For this reason, there may also be a possibility for the company to just start using the vivox brand in Europe and keep the brand alive in China, but that would be confusing to the industry.
What reinforces the transition from the vivox brand to the vivox brand is also for the registration of all the smartphone lines of the manufacturer and many others: the documents reveal the existing APEX, NEX and iQOO families, but also confirm the possible future vivox models. S, U, V, X, and Z.
It is unclear what Vivo intends on these records, but it leaves a remarkable haze of theories hanging in the air, indicating that the brand may change its name to become more global in the coming months.
Next week live will be holding an event in India, which will coincide with the announcement date of the Galaxy Note 10: August 7th. Maybe the company will confirm the plans for the next decade, or maybe introduce a new competitor to Samsung’s flagship, but we’ll hear more in a few days.
