Ubisoft Talks About the Future of Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia

One executive claims to be “fighting for resources” to do more.

After seeing Beyond Good and Evil 2 come true, could Ubisoft embark on the development of a new Splinter Cell or a Prince of Persia? Speaking with Game Informer, the executive Serge Hascoet has covered this question with relative transparency, and there seems to be a halo of hope for the followers of these sagas that have been dormant for years.

“I love Splinter Cell, I love Prince of Persia,” explains Hascoet. “I can not report anything [about any of them] at the moment, but I can say that we are fighting for resources, itis not a matter of desire, but of means”.

Of course, it is not a direct confirmation that we are going to see more games of any of these series, but it will undoubtedly be comforting for many to know that the editor will look for the opportunity to do them. In fact, not long ago we were able to enjoy Sam Fisher’s cameo in Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands.
