Success! Xiaomi Leads Smart TV Market in China

Despite increasing competition, Xiaomi still has reason to celebrate in the Smart TV market. That’s because new data released by Avi Cloud indicate that the company leads this segment in China. The top 10 has a large presence of local brands; check out:

Xiaomi, Skyworth, Hisense, TCL, Changhong, Haier, Konka, Cool, Philips, and Samsung.

According to a survey by other consultancies, Xiaomi’s leadership has been maintained since the beginning of this year. Therefore, it seems that the company should close in 2019 as the highlight in the Smart TVs segment in China.

Commenting on the good results, Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi, said the company’s TVs tend to be very popular with the public and bring “continuous innovation.” He cited as an example the 65-inch Mi TV that won the “Color Innovation” award.

Lu Weibing, president of the Redmi brand, listed four points that make Xiaomi have good numbers in the smart TV market in China:

easy-to-use system, high-content library, interconnected IoT devices and high build and finish quality.
