As the Snapdragon 865 processor brings a modem enabled to the 5G network, the price in the United States puts Sony’s option on an equal footing with competitors. However, to the surprise of many, the manufacturer’s website does not confirm the presence of 5G in the device that will be sold in the country.
Sony says in the promotional material that the new Xperia 5 II is compatible with the networks of operators Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T 4G LTE.
So far, Sony has yet to comment on the matter. Even so, the price of $ 950 becomes very problematic for a smartphone that does not have 5G. This is because competition has already presented more attractive options.

The 5G network scenario in the United States is still very precarious . Consumers complain that the connection speed offered by T-Mobile or AT&T is not the best, something that may have influenced Sony’s decision to launch the Xperia 5 II without 5G or at least without great prominence for this feature.
