Samsung Galaxy S20The Galaxy S20 line is Samsung’s current flagship, bringing the best of the company. Still, the device does not seem to be selling well, as pointed out by the financial reports released by the South Korean. The manufacturer, however, does not seem to have given up on its devices and is planning to launch a new version of the base model of the line.

Known as Samsung Galaxy S20 UW, the novelty will be launched on June 4 bringing support to the US operator’s 5G Ultra Wideband millimeter-wave network, in addition to the Sub-6 connection. The original version of the device was only compatible with the low-frequency network, with the highest speed bands available only for the Galaxy S20 Plus and Galaxy S20 Ultra.

The design and the rest of the specifications should remain the same, at least for the most part, with the device featuring Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 6.2 “Quad HD + Dynamic AMOLED screen with 3200×1440 pixel resolution and rate 120Hz update, 10MP front camera, three lens rear set with 12MP main sensor, 64MP telephoto and 12MP ultra-wide, 4,000mAh battery and Android 10 under One UI 2.1.

The differences would be in the storage, only available in 128GB, and in the colors of the smartphone, which besides pink and gray, can be purchased in white, exclusive to Verizon. The pre-sale of the Galaxy S20 UW starts on the 21st, with a price of US $ 999.99 (about R $ 5,743), or in the operator’s plan for 24 installments of US $ 41.66 (or about R $ 241). Special offers are also offered to customers of premium plans, or who want to bring old South Korean devices in a trade-in program.

It is worth remembering that the model sold here is only 4G and is equipped with Samsung’s Exynos 990 chip. The manufacturer’s choice of processing has been widely criticized by users, for presenting problems such as bugs in the camera and overheating. In addition, the processor would be inferior to the Snapdragon 865 used in the North American version of the device.
