Powerful Motorola Edge Plus comes with Snapdragon 865 and 12 GB of RAM in benchmark

Motorola is finally planning to return to the high-performance smartphone market. After the launch of the Moto Z3 in August 2018, the company was out of the spotlight of flagships for a year and a half without introducing devices with the most powerful chipsets on the market, leaving room for other companies like Samsung, Xiaomi and others to grow in the market, but that should change in 2020.

After having the first information leaked last week, now more hardware details about the Motorola Edge Plus are emerging. The device was registered in a benchmark tool, the Geekbench, displaying a Snapdragon 865 chipset and no less than 12 GB of RAM. The prototype is being tested with Android 10, the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system.

So far there are no great details about the design of Motorola Edge Plus. It is said that the name of the smartphone already gives a great clue regarding the format, and with that, we can expect that the device offers a curved screen on the sides, following the front design of devices such as the Galaxy S10 Plus and the Huawei P30 Pro.

We also know that the smartphone will have a circular notch to house the front camera, but there is no information about the size of the display, how many rear cameras the device will present, what the main sensor resolution will be, etc.

A Motorola smartphone with a stylus pen recently leaked and, as you can see in the image above, it has a circular notch for the front camera, but the front panel glass has a 2.5D finish instead of 3D, so we can already rule out the possibility that this is the Motorola Edge Plus.

The manufacturer will be present at Mobile World Congress 2020, one of the biggest and most anticipated mobile phone events of the year, and more details are expected by the official Motorola event date, which is confirmed to take place on February 23.
