iPhone 12 should reach the market even thinner and with a design similar to the iPad Pro

The iPhone 12 line continues to lead several rumors, the most recent of which suggests that the new notebooks should arrive in stores bringing an even thinner body than their respective predecessors.

According to information released by the Japanese website MacOtakara, Apple suppliers in China suggest that the models to be announced in September should have a very similar design, with the only difference being the number of rear cameras.

The rumor also reinforces that a 3D mockup of the version with a 6.5 ”screen (purchased on the Alibaba website) showed a noticeable reduction in thickness, with only 7.40 mm in this new generation, with edges bringing in 2 mm in width. In comparison, the iPhone 11 Pro Max, the largest in the line today, has a thickness of 8.1 mm

But it doesn’t stop there – the source also mentions that all iPhone 12 variants will bring OLED screens and that TrueDepth cameras will continue to be used for FaceTime (no fingerprint reader under the screen, apparently).

Other considerations made also involve the successor of the iPhone SE. It would be launched with a 5.4 ”screen as a kind of a mix between iPhone SE and iPhone 8, maintaining the traditional Touch ID and Home button.

The 6.1 ”version would be positioned between the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro, while the 6.7” model would have slightly larger rear sensors than those of the iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Apparently the smaller models will have the same camera configuration, while the 6.7 ”version would keep the three sensors seen in the iPhone 11 Pro.

All three new iPhone models are expected to bring a different number of microphone holes at the bottom, but unfortunately, we don’t know if this is just an aesthetic change or if, in fact, the microphones will be improved.

Roughly speaking, the rumor claims that the design of the iPhone 12 series will be based on the iPad Pro, with flat sides and rounded corners.
