Google’s solution is to add a small ” delay ” to start the side menu: press and hold the side of the screen until an animation shows the ” spy ” menu, which leaves no room for further action, except continue dragging out.

Of course, the traditional settings button ( three horizontal lines ) in the upper left corner will continue to work normally, but with the change, it can be a bit uncomfortable to reach with the thumb.
Applications will also have tougher limitations for excluding gestures from the side edges.
For now, there are no precise details on when Android Q Beta 5 will be released. Google’s official timeline has given some traces of the four compilations, but the fifth and sixth remain unknown.
