Originally released on the first PlayStation at the height of the 1990s, the Crash Bandicoot trilogy marked a time for many people. On PS4, the games came remastered under the baptism of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, but without any seal guaranteeing exclusivity. Since then, rumors and theories about the presence of titles in Xbox One have been circulating the internet. But what about clues here?
The TechWikies Games has prepared this matter with the aim of presenting the clues that indicate the existence of the collection in green power. The speculation comes mainly from retail: more than one store in Europe has pointed to the launch of the marsupial in Microsoft’s system. But Sony itself was also involved in the story. Let us see what we have at hand:
Sony itself left a catchy phrase on its Twitter in February this year, noting that “the game would hit the PS4 and PS4 Pro first, ” suggesting that other platforms later could get the game. It was the Irish division of the company that made the post.
In May, it was the turn of Best Buy, one of North America’s largest retail chains, to post a picture of the game on PS4 on its Canadian site with the words “1 year of console exclusivity.” The post was deleted shortly thereafter, but not before it was captured by NeoGAF and Reddit users.
Then, specifically at the end of June, on the eve of the release, a Hungarian store, SuperGame.hu, added Crash’s remastering to Xbox One, listing the title for December 8th of this year. The merchant removed the information from the page, but had even box posted:
This Tuesday, August 15, was the turn of another store, the British Base, aim for the same date on Xbox One: December 8. Therefore, this information backs up to that of the previous store.
Finally, and perhaps the hottest hint, Kara Zisa, an artist who worked on the remaster in the user interface, posted some pictures that show the game with the commands of the Xbox One. Her site is live, but images have been removed. Other conceptual arts are still there.
