Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Succeed in Sales, Except in Physical Format

The FPS breaks records on digital platforms while marking the worst premiere in stores of the series in 11 years.

This morning we reported that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 was the best seller in the United Kingdom last week. But like other recent releases, such as Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey or FIFA 19, the physical format again proves to be in its lowest hours. So much so that, according to information from Game Industry, Black Ops 4 has been the delivery with the lowest demand of the saga in 11 years.

Specifically, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 sold 59% less in British stores compared to Call of Duty: WWII. However, the data contrasts greatly with the great success of the warlike FPS in the digital market. In this sense, other information tells that Treyarch’s proposal is breaking acquisitions records in digital bazaars: Battle.net, PlayStation Network, and Xbox Live.

By platforms, 58% of the copies of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 went to PS4 players, 41% to Xbox One and the rest to PC. In TechWikeis we continue working at full capacity in the analysis of the game, meanwhile, you can follow our week of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 with direct and awards every day.
