Triple Triad (also known as ‘The Autenthic’) is a version for Android devices of the legendary card minigame included in Final Fantasy VIII. The cards are the same as in the original game, and the rules are identical, so we can enjoy a very similar experience.
The Triple Triad duels take place on a mat of three by three spaces. Each turn, players must place a card on the mat, and that card will be in their possession. Now, once a card is on the mat, the other player may try to claim it if he places an adjacent card whose adjoining number is higher. The player with the most cards in possession when the mat is filled, wins.
In this Android version of Triple Triad, players will start with a pretty bad card, with some of the worst cards of the game (as in Final Fantasy VIII itself). To win cards we will have to win duels within the game, or buy them with real money in the store. In total there are more than fifty different cards, including the cards of the protagonists and the invocations.
