PAC-MAN Hats 2 is a new twist to the classic Pac-Man concept. The goal of the game will remain the same: eat all the white spots inside a labyrinth, while ghosts chase after us. The novelty is that our iconic protagonist will now be able to use different hats that will grant him special powers. The game is divided into ninety relatively short levels, in which we simply have to eat all the white spots before the ghosts do away with our protagonist. As it is tradition, when catching a shiny pill, we will make the ghosts fear us and we will be able to swallow them to gain more points. Also, before starting the level, we can choose which hat we want to use. The hats we can use have very different powers. The blue cap, for example, will allow us to release cubes of ice through the labyrinth, which will freeze the ghosts that touch them. Other hats will give us totally different powers.
PAC-MAN Hats 2 is a very fun game, that manages to combine elements of the original title with new ones in a very successful way. The best thing is that from the main menu we can also access the ‘Classic Mode’, which will basically allow us to play the traditional Pac-Man.
