Lone Vaulter is an ‘endless runner’ in which, instead of jumping obstacles in the usual way, we will have to jump using a pole. Our goal will be to become the best pole vaulter in the world, for which we will have to avoid lots of obstacles.
The mechanics of Lone Vaulter are very simple: by pressing the screen we will place the pole on the ground and, depending on how long we press, we will jump more or less. While we are in the air we can press the screen once again to shrink and fall faster. But beware of falling head on.
The scenarios will change as we go running and overcoming obstacles. Thus, we will pass through environments as different as a desert, a snowy area or a forest. Of course, in all these scenarios we will find the same types of totems, which we will have to jump to get the best score.
Lone Vaulter is a very entertaining arcade, with a nice graphic section. It is true that the game is not particularly original (after all it is an ‘endless runner’ in two dimensions), but it does introduce some interesting elements.
