Cave Heroes is an automatic RPG in which three heroes (a magician, a warrior and an archer) will descend through some dungeons while we, on the surface, take care of improving the village so they can have good armor to defend themselves of the increasingly powerful enemies.
The mechanics of Cave Heroes are simple: while the heroes are advancing through the different dungeons and are taking over the treasures and defeating the enemies, we will level up the city, building a blacksmith shop where to improve weapons, a potions shop and, in addition, spaces where the rest of the people can live happily together. Little by little, in addition, we will gain experience that will allow us, for example, to invoke creatures in a five-pointed star. It is important to maintain a good level in the city, as the heroes will move forward from ‘floor’, and the difficulty will increase. As we move forward in the dungeons and defeat ‘bosses’, we can acquire new weapons, armor and relics that we can then equip our heroes.
Cave Heroes is a very simple RPG, which we can play while we let the heroes do their thing underground. One of its great strengths, without a doubt, is its beautiful visual section, which combines retro-pixelated aesthetics with very striking visual effects.
