Astrogon is a frenetic and fun two-dimensional arcade in which the players will control a square with which we will have to reach a goal, ascending a vertical journey.
We could say that one of the central elements of Astrogon is precisely its control system: by pressing on each side of the screen, we will make the square ‘jump’ to that side and can be propelled against a wall to the opposite side. From here, our objective will be to jump from side to side of the screen as we progress through an increasingly complex map.
As we progress through the levels, we will find special elements: energy balls that will allow us to jump without having to lean on a wall, pieces of the wall that disappear when we touch them, and so on. On the other hand, on each map we will find a total of three stars that we have to collect to obtain the maximum score for the level. Finally, it is important to take into account the colors of the cube and the map, since the cube can only lean and jump on the parts of the map that are of the same color. Thus, if the cube is blue in the game, it will disintegrate if it touches a red wall. Luckily, throughout the level we will find pieces with which to change color, and even pieces that allow us to change between one color and another without danger.
Astrogon is a really fun arcade game, with a very simple premise that is addictive and entertaining to the limit. In addition, its graphic section is very beautiful.
