watchOS 6.1 is released and brings the new OS to Apple Watch Series 1 and 2

October 30, 2019 By Kamran Haider Leave a Comment

AppleIn the wake of the release of iOS 13.2, several other Apple systems have been updated as usual. This time the news is being courtesy of AirPods Pro.

As we had already revealed, an Apple Web site accused the company’s new earbuds that would require a system upgrade to work with all features. With the release for October 30th, it would be inevitable that updates for iGadgets would be released by then.

Who won update today (29) was watchOS, going to its version 6.1. Of course, full support for AirPods Pro is added, but the big news is that with the upgrade finally Apple Watch Series 1 and Series 2 will be able to enjoy the 2019 version of the OS.

Hitherto the 6.0 update had been made available only for Series 3, 4 and 5. Apple, however, had already reassured users by warning that older models would receive the update later. The day has come.

The Series 0, on the other hand, is still parked on watchOS 4.

macOS 10.15.1

Surprise! But not so much: macOS Catalina also got its first update, and with it comes to support for AirPods Pro and improvements in HomeKit Secure Video support, plus 70 new emojis.

As usual, minor bugs have been fixed and performance has been improved.

Both updates are now available on OTA compatible devices. Remember, those on the Apple systems beta channel can already test even newer versions of Apple systems, but of course, keeping in mind that these are unstable updates.
