Sending and receiving Android Messages on a PC using a web browser is quite easy. Here are the steps below:
- First Open the Messages app on your phone.
- Just Tap the (three vertical dots) hamburger button.
- And then Tap Messages for the web.
- Tap (icon) QR code scanner.
- On your PC, open a web browser and go to http://messages.google.com.
- Scan the QR Code using your phone.
- A pop up appears to allow notifications. Click Allow. Now it’ll allow you to receive new incoming text messages as they arrive.
- Click OK just to remember the computer. You don’t have to repeat this process again and again.

Open the browser, you’ll receive text messages and reply without picking up your phone. If you close the browser tab all you need to do is head back to http://messages.google.com and you’ll be right back in there.
Features Available in Android Web Messages:
Messages for the web is also convenient because you can do everything in your browser as you can do on your phone. Things like stickers, emoji, and attachments are accessible in the tools on the right of the text box.
You can also include attachments that are on your computer. But you cannot include things that are on your phone, such as photos taken, location data, etc. You also do not have access to features like Google Assistant information like restaurants, weather information, and movie. You can’t send a voice clip.
It’s not a perfect substitute for picking up your phone. But some of the missing features are fairly niche.
How to Log Out of Android Messages For Web:
You can also stop using a computer for texting. In the Android App, just tap the hamburger button and choose Messages for the web. You can sign out of a single computer by clicking X on the right (at the bottom of the page), or all computers by clicking Sign out of all computers. On the web, Just click the hamburger button and then select Sign out.
